Individual
Student Alternative Education Plan Program |
Pending
approval by the 2006 General Assembly, the Virginia Department of Education
will make $2,247,581 in state funds available in the fiscal year 2006-2007 to
school divisions with an Individual Student Alternative Education Plan (ISAEP)
Program, as set forth in the Code of Virginia 22.1-254.D. and approved by the
American Council on Education as a GED Option Program. It is the goal of the
Virginia Department of Education that all local education agencies (LEAs)
participate in the ISAEP program. Funds will provide services for students 16
years of age and older who meet program provisions established in the Code of
Virginia and by the Board of Education.
The
application for ISAEP funds and the 2006-2007 allocations for school divisions
are attached. Please submit your
application no later than June 12, 2006.
If no program is planned, write on the face of the application form your
school divisions name and code, as well as the words NO PROGRAM IS PLANNED.
