Revision to
2004-2005 Title I, Part A, and Title I, Part D, Entitlements under Provisions
of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, Public Law 107-110 |
This
communication is to inform you of revisions to the Title I, Part A, and Title
I, Part D allocations that were released in Superintendents Memorandum,
Informational Number 47, dated February 25, 2005. Funding allocations for Title
I, Part A, and Title I, Part D, were affected due to a downward adjustment to
the bypass contract made by the U.S. Department of Education (USED).
Attachment
A contains a spreadsheet that shows the revised allocation. The funding allocation decreased minimally
for the majority of school divisions, this decrease has been absorbed by state
administrative funds at the Virginia Department of Education and the allocation
will not change.
The
funding allocation increased for 13 school divisions. For those school
divisions whose allocation increased, an amendment to the 2004-2005 application
must be submitted through the Online Management of Education Grant Award
(OMEGA) system. Even though your
original application was not submitted through OMEGA, the system will permit
you to upload the amended 2004-2005 application to OMEGA. If you need technical
support with this process, please e-mail OMEGA.Support@doe.virginia.gov
or call (804) 371-0993.
If
you have questions, please contact Mr. Kent Dickey, budget director, at
804-225-2025
or by e-mail at Kent.Dickey@doe.virginia.gov.
