Preview Meeting on Effective Schoolwide
Discipline in |
In the spring of
2005, the Virginia Department of Educations Office of Special Education
Instructional Services initiated a series of meetings for principals in the
eight superintendents regions to introduce Effective Schoolwide
Discipline (ESD), a Statewide Initiative to Support Positive Academic and
Behavioral Outcomes for All Students. Virqinias ESD Project is based on accumulated research on
positive behavioral supports. To date, sixty (60) schools have participated in
statewide ESD training.

At this ESD Preview Meeting, principals and central
office staff will receive an ESD Readiness Packet that contains all the
necessary information and timelines to apply for the next round of training in
ESD.
The meetings in each
region have been scheduled as follows:

principals and central office staff to complete the attached registration form
and fax it to Pat Woolard, ESD Logistics Coordinator,
T-TAC ODU, at (757) 683-3115. Each
person who registers will receive a confirmation notice.
