Career and Technical Education Equipment Allocations and
Forms for Fiscal Year 2007 |
The 2006 General Assembly increased funding for equipment allocations
(Item 135.C.21.b. of Chapter 3) for Career and Technical Education to $1,800,000
for fiscal year 2007. Attached are the career and technical education state
equipment allocations (Attachment A), regional center state equipment allocations
(Attachment B) for fiscal year 2007, and the reimbursement form (Attachment
C). Reimbursement request forms should be
submitted to W. Terry Dougherty, grants administrator, career and technical
education, any time during this fiscal year prior to June 15, 2007.
Reimbursement for regional centers will be made to the school division serving
as the fiscal agent.
Reimbursements may be submitted for the equipment listed in
the Recommended Equipment Approved for
Career and Technical Education Programs, 2006 edition, which can be found
on the Department of Educations Web page at http://www.doe.virginia.gov/VDOE/Instruction/CTE/regulations/equipment.html. All other purchased equipment must have a
letter of prior approval from a Department of Education career and technical
education program area specialist. Invoices are not to be submitted with
requests, but must be maintained at the division level for audit purposes.
An inventory of equipment purchased with career and
technical education funds must be kept for all purchased items. Record/Item Numbers can be referenced from
the Recommended Equipment Approved for
Career and Technical Education Programs document under the individual
program service number headings. The
itemized list and invoices for each program service showing the total amount
claimed on the reimbursement request must be on file at the division level for
audit purposes.

will be 50 percent of the total expenditures claimed, not to exceed your
approved allocation.
