Career and
Technical Education Completer Demographics Report (CDR) |
This memorandum provides information on the
Completer Demographics Report (CDR) for career and technical education, which
is due June 30, 2007.
The Completer Demographics Report data are critical
to the Department of Education because the information is used to calculate
performance for Occupational Competence, Secondary School Completion,
Nontraditional Completion, and Diploma Seals.
Additionally, the data will be used to conduct the 2008 follow-up of the
2007 completers.
The Completer Demographics Report must be submitted electronically by using the Single Sign-On for Web Systems (SSWS) Dropbox, either in an Excel spreadsheet or ASCII flat file format as defined in the revised Career and Technical Education Reporting System (CTERS) Users Manual. The Excel spreadsheet or ASCII file will be uploaded into the electronic mail box by selecting Dropbox once you have signed into the SSWS. The Web address for the SSWS is https://p1pe.doe.virginia.gov/ssws/login.page.do.
A custom-designed spreadsheet and detailed
instructions for completing the report can be downloaded from the Department of
Educations website. The complete
address is: http://www.doe.virginia.gov/VDOE/Instruction/CTE/cters/. On this page, choose Users Manual for the revised
instructions or Completer Demographics Template for the customized
spreadsheet. A file layout is included
in the instructions for school divisions that prefer to submit the data as an
ASCII flat file.
Beginning with the 2007-2008 school year, the
Completer Demographic Report will be collected through the Student Record
Collection End-of-Year Report.
If you have additional questions, please contact Glenn
