Release of Spring 2007 Standards of Learning Tests in
Spring 2008 |
The Virginia
Department of Education is planning to release all spring 2007 Standards of
Learning (SOL) tests in spring 2008 with the exception of the grade 8 science test. Because a new
grade 8 science test based on the 2003 revisions to the grade 6, 7, and 8
science standards will be administered beginning in spring 2008, the spring
2007 grade 8 science test will not be released.
In previous years, school
personnel have been permitted to review under secure conditions tests that were
not scheduled for release. Based on the
release schedule outlined above and the administration of a new grade 8 science
test in spring 2008, there will be no tests eligible for review by school
division personnel this spring.
