MODSIM World 2007 Conference and Expo

 

Old Dominion Universitys Virginia Modeling, Analysis and Simulation Center (VMASC) will host the first annual MODSIM World 2007 Conference and Expo. This event will take place September 11-13, 2007, at the Virginia Beach Convention Center at 1000 19th Street, Virginia Beach, Virginia 23451. MODSIM World 2007 is an international conference and exposition for collaborative learning; the transfer of new knowledge, research, and applied technology to virtual, simulated, and synthetic learning environments; and the application of modeling, simulation, and game-based learning (GBL) as technology-based tools for teaching, learning, and training in the 21st century.

 

The anticipated audience for MODSIM World 2007 includes educational and community leaders; STEM educators at all levels; policymakers; administrators; and anyone else who shares an interest in 21st century teaching, learning, and training applications. K-12 educators are eligible for a discounted registration fee ($150 per person) with additional discounts available for groups.

 

All presentations and exhibits support the Virginia Standards of Learning and focus on the five major components of Virginias long-range technology plan: technology integration, professional development, connectivity, educational applications, and accountability.
