New Teacher
Manuals and One-Day Stepping Stones Institute |
The
Virginia Department of Education is pleased to announce the 2007 Stepping
Stones Institute. This is a training
opportunity for school personnel to become familiar with the new teacher
manuals, Stepping Stones I: Teacher
to Teacher (Attachment A) and Stepping Stones II: Collaboration: Working Together for All
Students (Attachment B). This
Institute is jointly sponsored by the Office of School Improvement and Special
Education Instructional Services.
The
purpose of this training opportunity is to prepare local school division trainers
to support new teachers in using these manuals.
The second manual is new this year and provides information regarding an
inclusive and collaborative school philosophy, which will allow educators to
effectively differentiate instruction to reach all students.
