| SUBJECT: | Submission of Comprehensive Strategy for Programs of Prevention, Intervention, and Remediation for Fiscal Year 2008-2009, Due Date: October 17, 2008 |
The 2008-2010 appropriation act (Chapter 879, 2008 Acts of Assembly) requires each school division to report to the Department of Education the state and local shares of the at-risk payment that will be used to support approved programs for students who are educationally at risk. School divisions must also report the comprehensive strategies for intervention, prevention, and remediation addressed in these programs, including the number of students served and review of available data.
The reporting form is included as Attachment A to this memo. All reports should be submitted electronically to osi.reports@doe.virginia.gov by October 17, 2008.
