History Connects, an interactive online course for
The class
will be offered on the Internet at http://historyconnects.pwnet.org/. Registration may be completed online at that
website. Teachers may register from January
14 through February 8, 2008, and the class starts February 25, 2008. The course ends April 4, 2008. Enrollment will be limited to the first 100
teachers who sign up for license renewal points. Enrollment is unlimited for teachers who sign
up for graduate credit.
The goals of
the course are as follows:
The course
consists of five components, each of which is expected to take approximately
five hours. Each component includes
activities, resource links, a discussion board, and quizzes. Videos also explain the subject matter being
discussed. Teachers will find many
ideas, resources, and links that will assist them in the classroom.
