The
(VAESP) and the Virginia Department of Education
(DOE) extend an invitation to all assistant principals, lead teachers,
principals, and other professional educators within your school or school
division to participate in the 2008 Annual Assistant Principals/Lead Teachers
Professional Development Conference. The conference will be held March 10-11,
2008, at the Williamsburg Lodge in
This conference is designed specifically for
assistant principals and lead teachers who are responsible for providing
instructional leadership in schools. Jerry King will provide the initial
keynote presentation, Take This Job and
Love It. His presentation is a
humorous and high energy experience that has inspired and motivated hundreds of
educator audiences throughout the country. Mr. King is the author of several books
including, Take This Job and Love It and Now Get a Real Life.
A variety of concurrent sessions will be
offered to participants in the strands of curriculum/instruction, teacher
evaluation, Response to Intervention, and leadership.
Conference participants will have
opportunities to network and discuss topics of the state of education in the
Commonwealth based on the actions of the 2008 General Assembly.
