for the State-Directed Investigations of Testing Irregularities |
On April 24, 2008, the Virginia Board of Education
approved a protocol for state-directed investigations of testing irregularities
within a school division (see attachment). This protocol describes those
circumstances under which the Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) staff, on
behalf of the Board of Education, will conduct an investigation of an alleged
breach in test security, unauthorized alteration of test materials, or improper
administration of tests by local school division employees.
A detailed procedures document for state-directed
investigations of testing irregularities will be provided to Division Directors
of Testing at a later date.
If you have questions, please contact the Office of Test
Administration, Scoring, and Reporting at Student_Assessment@doe.virginia.gov
or by phone at (804) 225-2107.
