2008 Orientation Academy for New Special Education Administrators

 

The annual Orientation Academy for New Special Education Administrators will be held on September 9-10, 2008, at the Holiday Inn Koger Center South, located in Richmond, Virginia. The purpose of this academy is to provide new special education administrators with information on a variety of topics including state and federal data collection and reporting procedures, annual plans, updates and changes to current policies and regulations, Standards of Learning, SOL instructional resources, as well as the use of assigned mentors and staff in the Division of Special Education and Student Services. A new special education administrator, as defined for participating in this academy, is one who is new to their position and has not been a special education administrator in another location or was new after last year's academy, which was held September 26-27, 2007.
