collected from school divisions is used by the Virginia Department of Education
in reports to the United States Department of Education and to assist in
state-level development of training, technical assistance, and other support
for prevention programs.
The
Principles of Effectiveness require benchmark evaluations of SDFSCA
programs and use of these data to strengthen programs. Outcome and formative information derived
from the 2007-2008 SDFSCA application measurable objectives must also be
reported.
Changes to the 2007-2008
progress report. In past years, the Virginia Department of
Education has worked with outside contractors to collect and analyze data for
the progress report. In an effort to maximize limited resources, the data will
now be collected through a data entry port on the SSWS website. The site is now open to begin entering information. The link to the website is https://p1pe.doe.virginia.gov/ssws/login.page.do.
Paper copies are not accepted.
SDFSCA
Coordinators will need to obtain access to the Safe and Drug-Free Progress
Report by contacting the school division's SSWS Account Manager. Your school division's SSWS Account Manager
will need to update permissions in order for the SDFSCA Coordinator to access
the Safe and Drug-Free Progress Report. An e-mail has been sent to all SDFSCA
Coordinators and SSWS Account Managers to share this information.
The 2007-2008 progress
report will be due Friday, February 6, 2009. Attached
is a copy of the online progress reporting format and instructions. If you have
questions or need additional information, please contact Dr. Susan FitzPatrick,
