TO: Division Superintendents
FROM: Patricia I. Wright, Superintendent of Public Instruction
The Regulations Establishing Standards for Accrediting Public Schools in Virginia require schools accredited with warning in English or mathematics to adopt and implement instructional interventions that have a proven track record of success at raising student achievement.
On June 28, 2007, the Board of Education granted the Superintendent of Public Instruction the authority to act on its behalf to approve Instructional Intervention providers. Acting on the Board’s authority, on December 9, 2008, the Superintendent of Public Instruction approved one addition to the list that may be found in Attachment A.
The complete updated list may be found on the Department of Education’s website at: https://p1pe.doe.virginia.gov/ses/index.jsp.
