The Virginia Resource-Use Education Council (VRUEC) is pleased to announce a wide array of environmental education summer professional development opportunities for educators. An attachment to this memorandum provides details about the various opportunities.
The workshops will provide educators with information that directly supports content in the Science Standards of Learning in various grade levels. Several of the workshops are offered at no cost through a National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration Bay Watershed Education Training (B-WET) grant that supports the implementation of a Meaningful Watershed Educational Experience (MWEE) in the classroom.
For more information, please contact Paula J. Klonowski, science coordinator, Office of Middle and High School Instruction, by e-mail at Paula.Klonowski@doe.virginia.gov or by telephone at (804) 371-0249.
