The 2009 Virginia School and Campus Safety Training Forum will be held July 27-30, 2009, at the Hampton Roads Convention Center in Hampton, Virginia. This year’s forum will provide all attendees with two days of plenary and breakout sessions (July 27 and July 28) covering a comprehensive range of school and campus safety topics. In addition, this year’s forum will also offer specialized training to those attendees seeking DARE’s Annual Training Update, Teen Dating Violence Showcase, Primary Violence Prevention Training, Alcohol Enforcement Specialist Training (law enforcement only), School Resource Officer Basic Training, School Security Officer Certification Training, or Campus Security Officer Certification Training.
Partnering with the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services to offer this collective training opportunity are the Virginia Department of Education, Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control, Virginia Department of State Police, Office of the Attorney General, Virginia Department of Health, and the Virginia Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators. Conference attendance will provide a wealth of information to anyone interested in the most current school and campus safety issues and concerns.
