Due to budget constraints the Virginia Department of Education's (VDOE) Division of Technology and Career Education will provide limited regional training and information sessions during the 2009-10 school year. However, to meet the needs of school divisions, a 2009 Educational Technology Institute will be conducted from October 28-30 during the 2009 Virginia Educational Technology Conference (VETC 09) at the Greater Richmond Convention Center.
The sessions at the institute will provide essential information and crucial guidance for schools. Topics will address the needs of all those involved with educational technology at the division and school levels. Among the topics addressed will be:
Schools divisions are encouraged to send representatives to the institute and conference as there will be limited opportunities to access this training, information, and guidance. The use of Title II, Part D funds is appropriate, and expected, for related expenses.
