The Virginia Association of Elementary School Principals (VAESP), the Virginia Department of Education, and the National Association of Elementary School Principals extend an invitation to all principals, assistant principals, and other professional educators to participate in the 2009 Annual Principals' Conference, "Building a Network of Colleagues" that will be held November 4-6, 2009, at the Williamsburg Marriott in Williamsburg, Virginia.
The pre-conference on Wednesday, November 4, 2009, will be conducted by Kathleen Mehfoud. This presentation will help administrators focus on school law and will include an interactive question and answer period.
The conference, which begins at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2009, will open with a message from Superintendent of Public Instruction Patricia I. Wright, discussing how stimulus funds will impact education in Virginia. Dr. Wright will be followed by author and keynote speaker, Jim Grant. Other keynote speakers include Jon Gordon, Dr. Jo Lynne DeMary, and Dr. David Pearson. Breakout sessions will be offered on topics in the field of educational leadership.
