Attachment A contains the 2010-2011 school division allocations for the Title II, Part D, Enhancing Education Through Technology formula subgrant from the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB). The total amount of formula funds allocated to school divisions is $1,574,161.40.
School divisions that have not submitted an application should establish their budget in the 2010-2011 Local Consolidated Application or the 2010-2011 Individual Title II, Part D, Application. The budget should be based on the final entitlement. School divisions that have already submitted an application should submit a budget amendment to adjust their budget based on the final entitlement amount. Submissions should be made to the Online Management of Education Grant Awards (OMEGA) system at http://www.doe.virginia.gov/school_finance/budget/grants_acct_reporting/omega/index.shtml. Once an application has been fully approved, Title II, Part D, Enhancing Education Through Technology formula subgrant funds from NCLB are available on a reimbursement basis for obligations that occurred as of July 1, 2010. Funds must be encumbered by September 30, 2012. Final reimbursement requests must be submitted via OMEGA by December 1, 2012.
Questions regarding the funding from the formula subgrants should be directed to Mark Saunders, educational technology specialist, at email@example.com or (804) 786-0307.
