Attached are instructions for claiming reimbursement for services provided by certain regional special education programs that have been approved by the state. Included with the instructions is a list providing the name of each regional program and school code number.
Reimbursement requests must be submitted via the Department of Education’s Web-based SPEDSYS reporting system, and received no later than September 10, 2010. If you do NOT plan to submit a claim for reimbursement under this program, notify the Department of Education no later than September 10, 2010(see attached instructions).
Students with disabilities being served in approved regional programs are not eligible for ADM or other state aid if reimbursement is claimed under this funding program. Reimbursement from state special education funds is based on compliance with regulations of the Board of Education as certified by the division superintendent.
The Department of Education will process all data received by the submission deadline and transmit verification reports to division superintendents for review and final certification.
