This communication is in regard to revisions to the Title III, Part A, allocations that were released in Superintendent's Memo No. 231-10, dated September 24, 2010. Certain Title III, Part A, allocations were adjusted due to a data correction in the state's Immigrant and Youth (IY) student count.
Attachment A contains a spreadsheet that shows the revised IY allocations. For those school divisions whose allocation increased (highlighted on the attachment),an amendment to the 2010-2011 application and budget transfer must be submitted through the Online Management of Education Grant Awards (OMEGA) system. Upon receipt of an approvable application amendment by the Virginia Department of Education, the school division will receive an e-mail with instructions to log into the OMEGA system to review the grant award notifications. The allocations will be listed in OMEGA. School divisions will be required to complete a budget transfer to distribute funds to the appropriate object codes as determined in the approved application.
