SUBJECT: Public Comment on Proposed Guidelines for Local Textbook Approval

On June 23, 2011, the Virginia Board of Education accepted for first review proposed Guidelines for Local Textbook Approval. The Board is now seeking public comment on the proposed Guidelines, which may be viewed at http://www.doe.virginia.gov/boe/meetings/2011/06_jun/agenda_items/item_j.pdf.

Comments on the proposed Guidelines will be taken until August 1, 2011, and can be submitted via e-mail at Instruction@doe.virginia.gov.  Comments may also be sent via mail or fax to:
