Virginia Tech has announced that the 2011 Educational Technology Leadership Conference (ETLC) will be held November 7–9 at the Hotel Roanoke and Conference Center in Roanoke, Virginia. This will be the 17th year for the conference which addresses issues of concern to the K-12 technology community.
The overall theme of the 2011 conference is virtual learning, and the program will include special sessions focusing on successful approaches to virtual learning and the programs and technologies that make virtual learning work. The conference will also provide opportunities to learn about innovative and productive uses of technologies in non-virtual schools and share approaches and experiences related to the five major components of Virginia's educational technology plan: environment, engagement, application, tools, and results.
Registration details are on the ETLC Web site located at http://www.etlc11.org.
Details for submitting a proposal can be found at http://www.etlc11.org/presenters.cfm. The deadline for submitting proposals has been extended to October 25, and proposals may be submitted online.
