The Virginia Technology and Engineering Education Association and the Virginia Children's Engineering Council (VCEC) are co-sponsoring the "Children's Engineering Convention" for teachers and administrators who provide leadership at grades K-5. The convention will be held at the Hilton Richmond Hotel and Spa/Short Pump, Richmond, Virginia, February 23-24, 2012.
The convention will open with professional development sessions on Thursday evening and conclude on Friday. The Children's Engineering Convention special interest sessions will highlight best practices and classroom strategies that support achievement of the Virginia Standards of Learning through hands-on designing and building, critical thinking skills, and problem solving.
