The partnership agreement supports collaborative projects between language classes as well as other content areas, including the current Regards Transatlantique, a collaborative project between French and American students and teachers to share and exchange views on the 2012 presidential elections in France and the United States. Further information about this project is located on the Web at: http://regardstransatlantiques.files.wordpress.com/2012/03/a-transatlantic-look-at-the-2012-presidential-electionsx.pdf.
The role of the Virginia Department of Education will be to disseminate information about the program, provide technical assistance to schools in completing applications, and share general information about Virginia’s public education system with the director of the Académie de Reims.
