SUBJECT:  Announcing the 2013 Children’s Engineering Convention

The Virginia Children’s Engineering Council, the Virginia Technology Education Association, and the Technology Education Service are co-sponsoring the Children’s Engineering Convention for teachers and administrators who provide leadership at grades K-5.  The convention will be held at the Holiday Inn Koger Conference Center, Richmond, Virginia, February 28 - March 1, 2013.  The keynote speakers will be Dr. James Hines, Past President, System Dynamics Society, and Celeste Baine, Director of the Engineering Education Service Center.

The Children’s Engineering Convention special interest sessions will highlight best practices and classroom strategies that support achievement of the Virginia Standards of Learning through hands-on designing and building, critical thinking skills, and problem-solving skills.
