The Office of Career and Technical Education Services is pleased to announce the new curriculum for middle and secondary Virginia Teachers for Tomorrow (VTfT) programs. The VTfT curriculum is specific to Virginia’s educational requirements and was developed by teacher educators from Virginia’s colleges and universities.
The VTfT pre-collegiate education curriculum introduces students to teaching and the teaching profession, and includes teaching experience before college. Additionally, it is eligible for potential dual enrollment credit and provides students educational leadership opportunities through the Future Educators Association (FEA).
The Virginia curriculum for the VTfT program is presented in four themes:
The VTfT curriculum is available in Virginia’s Education Resource System Online (VERSO) for schools to use and includes the student competencies, curriculum framework, and instructional resources.
