SUBJECT:  Anticipated Board Action on Recommended Cut Scores for the Grades 3-8 Reading Standards of Learning Tests Based on the 2010 English Standards

On February 28, 2013, the Virginia Board of Education accepted for first review recommended cut scores for the Grades 3-8 Reading Standards of Learning Tests Based on the 2010 English Standards.  A copy of the board item may be found at http://www.doe.virginia.gov/boe/meetings/2013/02_feb/agenda_items/item_h.pdf.

At its meeting on March 28, 2013, the Board is expected to take final action on the cut scores for these tests.  Comments or questions about the recommended cut scores should be directed to Shelley Loving-Ryder, assistant superintendent of student assessment and school improvement, at Student_Assessment@doe.virginia.gov or by phone at (804) 225-2102.
