The first new resource is a video entitled “A Guide to Computer Adaptive Testing.” Approximately 2 min and 45 seconds in length, this online video provides a general overview of the basic principle of computer adaptive testing.
The second new resource is a video entitled “Computer Adaptive Testing in Virginia.” Approximately 4 minutes and 45 seconds in length, this online video expands upon the basic principle of computer adaptive testing and provides information specific to its use in Virginia.
Additionally, a “Frequently Asked Questions about Computer Adaptive Testing” document has been developed to help students, parents, and school division staff begin to understand some of the characteristics of computer adaptive testing.
The Virginia Department of Education is developing additional resources related to computer adaptive testing and will add these resources to this Web site as they become available.
