SUBJECT: Computer Science Professional Learning Opportunities

The Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) is proud to provide information regarding FREE Computer Science professional learning opportunities offered by Oracle Academy. Courses in Java Foundations, Database Foundations, and Getting Started in Programming Using Alice will be provided. Prior computer programming experiences are not required for participation in any of the courses. Course descriptions, dates, and an interest survey are available on this informational flier (PDF). The original deadline of November 28, as announced last month in TeacherDirect and other VDOE communications for completing the interest survey, has been extended to December 9, 2016.
