2017 Virginia Association of Science Teachers Annual Professional Development Institute

The Virginia Association of Science Teachers (VAST) will hold its annual statewide Professional Development Institute (PDI), Celebrating Science, on November 16-18, 2017, at the Hotel Roanoke and Conference Center in Roanoke, VA. This year's PDI supports the Science Standards of Learning by offering over 200 concurrent sessions and nationally known keynote speakers. Educators will be able to network with colleagues from all over the state, gain new ideas to enhance their content knowledge, and experience cutting-edge technology. Educators at every level of science will find many topics of interest with which to build their expertise.

In addition to the Professional Development Institute, the pre-conference directed by Donna Sterling (VAST) offers participants the opportunity to attend short courses on 3-D Interactive Graphic Organizers that are designed to support cross-curricular instruction.  Registration and the PDI schedule of events can be found on the VAST website at https://vast.wildapricot.org/page-18062This link takes you out of the Virginia Department of Education website. The PDI also provides educators the opportunity to earn recertification points.
