Announcing Changes for the Virginia Board of Nursing Skills Evaluation Examination Process for Nurse Aide Programs and Training Workshops
The Virginia Board of Nursing and Pearson Virtual University Enterprises (VUE) recently announced training for the changes to the nurse aide skills evaluation process that will become effective July 1, 2018.
The training consists of two phases:
- On-demand/pre-recorded training module. Covers the revisions to the skills evaluation and scoring clarifications, available on Pearson VUE's Credential Management System (PCM), and as a link for non-PCM users. In late March, an email will be sent indicating when the training module will be available to be completed, downloaded, and printed for reference.
- Pearson VUE training workshops. Reviews the revisions and the training module. The available training workshop locations are listed below. At least one person from each Virginia nurse aide program is strongly encouraged to preregister: This link takes you out of the Virginia Department of Education website. , as space is limited. There is no registration fee for the following workshops.
