Announcing Summer Professional Development Institute for Technology and Engineering Educators


The Virginia Department of Education, in collaboration with Arlington County Public Schools, is pleased to offer the 2018 VTEEA Summer Professional Development Institute: This link takes you out of the Virginia Department of Education website. for technology and engineering educators.  The Institute will be conducted in Alexandria, Virginia, on July 25-27, 2018.

Featured 2018 Institute workshops:

Instructional resource materials will be provided for each of these workshops.  Additional workshops for microcontrollers, robotics, coding, and other related topics will be available.  Details for industry tours are forthcoming.

The Institute registration: This link takes you out of the Virginia Department of Education website. is open and teachers are encouraged to preregister early, as workshop space is limited.  Participants are responsible for travel-related expenses and lodging, if needed.  This is an allowable expenditure of federal Perkins funds as long as it is included in the approved local plan.  Participants should bring a laptop for use at workshops.
