Biography: Virginia L. McLaughlin
Virginia L. McLaughlin was appointed to the Board of Education in January 2009 by Governor Timothy M. Kaine. She is the dean of the School of Education at the College of William & Mary and is a member of Governor Kaine's P-16 Council and the Virginia Early Childhood Foundation.
Dr. McLaughlin taught in South Carolina public schools and was a faculty member at Clemson University and Old Dominion University.
Dr. McLaughlin received a bachelor's degree from the College of William & Mary. She earned a master's degree in special education from Vanderbilt University and a doctorate in curriculum and instruction from the University of Memphis.
