Biography: Eleanor B. Saslaw
Eleanor B. Saslaw of Annandale was appointed to the Board of Education in 2004 by Governor Mark R. Warner and was reappointed in 2008 by Governor Timothy M. Kaine.
Mrs. Saslaw is the chairwoman of the board’s Committee on the Standards of Quality and also serves as co-sponsor of the board’s Student Advisory Committee.
Mrs. Saslaw retired in 2004 after a 35-year career in public education. She served as a school counselor and director of student services in four Fairfax County public schools and taught social studies and mathematics in Maryland.
