Establishing the Summer Residential Governor’s School for Agriculture at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech)

WHEREAS, the Board of Education approved and forwarded in January 1999 a feasibility study for the establishment of the Summer Residential Governor’s School for Agriculture to the General Assembly; and
WHEREAS, the 2000 General Assembly allocated funds for the establishment of the Summer Residential Governor’s School for Agriculture; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Education accepted proposals in August 2000 according to policies governing requests for proposals (RFPs); and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Education will establish the Summer Residential Governor’s School for Agriculture on the campus of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
