Deleting from Board-approved Lists those Career and Technical Certifications, Licenses, and Exams that No Longer Meet the Requirements for Board of Education's Career and Technical Education Seal, the Boards' Seal of Advanced Mathematics and Technology, and the Student-Selected Verified Credit

WHEREAS, in October 2000 the Board approved the initial list of industry, professional, and trade association certifications to meet the requirements for the Board's Career and Technical Education Seal and the Board’s Seal of Advanced Mathematics and Technology; and
WHEREAS, in April 2001 the Board approved the initial list of industry, professional, and trade association certifications to meet the requirements for the student-selected test for verified credit; and
WHEREAS, industry, professional, and trade association certifications are continually being revised to stay current with technology and new techniques; and
WHEREAS, these changes may be such that individual certifications would no longer meet the Board of Education's criteria for diploma seals or student-selected verified credit or may require additional criteria such as work experience beyond high school or an associate's degree; and
WHEREAS, changes have been made in the list of the certifications that were approved by the Board in October 2000;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Education that the attached list of certifications, licenses, or exams approved by the Board for diploma seals is revised and the attached list of certifications, licenses or exams that no longer meet the board's criteria are approved to be deleted.
