Stakeholder Engagement & ESSA State Plan
ESSA requires states to provide opportunities for stakeholder input throughout the development of the federal accountability plan. VDOE has designed a series of stakeholder sessions and work group meetings to receive stakeholder feedback on key areas of Virginia’s plan.
Board of Education Listening Tours
The Board of Education held a series of public hearings in July and August to gather information and comments from families, educators, and community members on student expectations, how schools are accredited, and school resources.
