ESSA requires states to provide opportunities for stakeholder input throughout the development of the federal accountability plan. VDOE has designed a series of stakeholder sessions and work group meetings to receive stakeholder feedback on key areas of Virginia’s plan.

The Virginia Board of Education will hold a series of public hearings this summer to gather feedback from families, educators and community members on student expectations, how schools are accredited and the conditions and needs of public schools.
