National Network for Early Language Learning Regional Workshop |
The
National Network for Early Language Learning (NNELL) is pleased to announce a
southeast regional professional development workshop for K-8 foreign language
teachers to take place April 12, 2008, at
NNELL
regional and summer workshops help meet the need for appropriate professional
development of a growing number of elementary and middle school foreign
language teachers.
The
workshop, entitled “Early Language Learning: A Tool for Success in the 21st
Century,” features a keynote address by Janet Glass, American Council on the
Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) 2008 Teacher of the Year. Workshop topics include use of technology,
integration of core content in foreign language lessons, and assessment, among
others. The registration deadline is
March 14, 2008, and attendance is limited to 200 participants. Registration information and further details
