The Department of Education is pleased to
announce the fourth annual “From Vision to
Registration
- The Office of Continuing and Professional Education at Virginia Tech will
manage online registration. School
divisions should designate one individual to register all divisionwide
participants. A maximum of four participants from each division may be
enrolled. The deadline for registration is June 16, 2008. If the registration form submitted indicates that
additional staff are interested in attending the
academy, the designee will be informed if space is available after June 16, 2008. Participants may register online for the
academy at http://www.cpe.vt.edu/reg/vtop/. Attachment A contains the agenda for each day
of the academy. Pre-registration is required for the all-day sessions on July
9, 2008.
Lodging - The cutoff date
for room reservations is June 16, 2008. A block of rooms has been reserved from July 7-10,
2008, at two hotels at the state rate of $89 per night (excluding taxes and

Authorized Expenses

Lodging, parking, and travel costs are the responsibility of attendees;
however, these expenses are authorized activities and may be charged to local
Title I, Part A; Title II, Part A; Title III, Part A; and Title V, Part A, budgets.
Materials, a continental breakfast, lunch, and breaks will be provided.
Participants are asked to be present for all meal functions.

participants need to cancel their reservations, please contact the hotel
directly, as well as Dawn McCoy, the Virginia Tech registrar, no later than June
