Student Alternative Education Plan (ISAEP) Program Application |
The
Virginia Department of Education will make $2,247,581 available in the fiscal
year 2008-2009 to school divisions with Individual Student Alternative
Education Plan (ISAEP) programs, as set forth in the Code of Virginia §22.1-254.D, and approved by the American Council
on Education as a GED® Option Program. It is the
goal of the Virginia Department of Education that all local education agencies
(LEAs) participate in the ISAEP program. Funds will provide services for
students 16 years of age and older who meet program provisions established in
the Code of Virginia and guidelines
of the Virginia Board of Education. The Board of Education’s ISAEP program
guidelines may be found at http://www.doe.virginia.gov/instruction/adulted/equivalency/isaep.shtml.
The application for ISAEP funds and the 2008-2009 allocations
for school divisions are attached. Your
application must be received by the Office of Adult Education and Literacy no later than
4:30 p.m., May 5, 2008. School divisions will be notified of funding awards after
receipt and approval of program applications. If no program is planned, write on
the face of the application form your school division’s name and code, as well
as the words “NO PROGRAM IS PLANNED.”
