Number Sense Mathematics Module |
The Virginia
Department of Education is pleased to provide teachers and school divisions
with the Number and Number Sense Mathematics Module. This module
supports the 2001 Mathematics Standards of Learning and provides instructional
activities correlated to the number sense strand of grades kindergarten through
five Mathematics Standards of Learning.
The purpose
of the Module is to enhance elementary school teachers' content
knowledge, and use of appropriate instructional strategies for teaching number
and number sense concepts.
