To help identify school divisions eligible to receive driver education funds and to ensure program compliance, principals are asked to submit information related to their driver education programs. |

Prior to beginning instruction, a public or private school must certify that its driver education program meets all state-approved program requirements and have VDOE approval.

| Notification Process Concerning Driver Education Teachers Who Receive Traffic Citations | Due: Ongoing |
To comply with state law, VDOE shares teacher information submitted on the program approval application with the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) in order for DMV to driver education teachers’ driving records.
