Gifted Programs, Governor's Schools & Foreign Language Academies

To assist in the preparation of an annual report of services to gifted students, school division are required to submit administrator and program services data. The information is collected through the Gifted Education application contained in the VDOE Single Sign-On for Web Systems (SSWS). Student membership and referral data will be drawn from the school division's end of year student records collection.

Information collected is used in grant applications that VDOE submits through the United States Department of Education (USED) Test Fee Program. The grant is used to increase the participation of students who may be unable to pay Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) testing fees.

School divisions and private schools wishing to participate are required to submit a verification report form and head of school tuition certification form indicating their assurance that funding for tuition will be provided for all nominated students.
