Pre-Accreditation Eligibility (PACE) Report
The Regulations Establishing Standards for Accrediting Public Schools in Virginia adopted by the Virginia Board of Education in 2009 prescribe an annual accrediting cycle for schools and require that schools certify compliance with certain provisions of the standards as a prerequisite to accreditation.Â

| March 18, 2011 | Superintendent’s Memo issued announcing PACE data collection for 2011. |
| May 2-31, 2011 | School and/or school division staff enter data into PACE. |
| June 10, 2011 | PACE application window locks at 5 p.m. Those attempting to enter data after this time will see message prompting them to contact the Office of School Improvement. |
| June 11, 2011 |
Deadline for superintendents to submit the Verification Report and a copy of the Promotion/retention Policy to the Office of School Improvement. |
| June 13-18, 2011 | Office of School Improvement contacts superintendents of all divisions that have not yet entered data, advising them that the schools in the division may be reported as not meeting preaccreditation eligibility criteria at the July Board of Education meeting. |

Instructions
Worksheets These worksheets can be downloaded and printed. They allow the person who will enter the information into PACE to see the references to the Standards of Accreditation and to be aware of the reasons and corrective actions that might be available if a negative answer is given to a PACE statement. The answers from the worksheet must be entered into the PACE application through the Single Sign-on for Web Systems. The application will be open from May 2, 2011 until May 31, 2011. The division is responsible for completing the Division PACE Report. Each school must complete PACE School Part I Pre-Accreditation Requirements. There is one worksheet for elementary and middle schools and another worksheet for high schools.
Each school must also complete PACE Part II Board of Education Requirements. There is one worksheet for all schools, elementary, middle, and high.
