We have a student that has enrolled in Virginia Virtual Academy? What Exit Code should we use when withdrawing the student?
There are two ways students can be enrolled into this program (1) the student is free and will actually be enrolled as active in another VA public school or (2) the parents pay the student’s tuition and the student is considered to be homeschooled. If the student has been accepted into the online public school program, an acceptance letter will be sent informing the parents that they do not need to complete homeschool paperwork as the student is enrolled in a Virginia public school. If this is the case, then Exit Code W402 should be used.
If the student is paying tuition, then the student should be considered as withdrawing to homeschool and given an Exit Code of W313.
If a student is reported on the EOY with a Graduate/Completer Code of 3 (Applied Studies), but completes the requirements for a Standard Diploma in the Summer, how does this student get reported?
The student would be reported with a Graduate/Completer Code of 1 on the Summer SRC. However, if the student was already submitted on the EOY SRC, the division will need resubmit the EOY SRC to remove the Graduate/Completer Code from the student’s record. The student cannot be reported with two Graduate/Completer Codes within the same school year.
How is Funded Fall Membership Calculated?
