Summer Institutes for Virginia Adult Education Teachers and Managers:
SW VAILL 2009
VAILL-ESOL 2009
The Office of Adult Education and Literacy of the Virginia Department of Education, the Virginia Adult Learning Resource Center, Radford University, and Fairfax County Adult Education are pleased to present two Virginia Institutes for Lifelong Learning (VAILL) conferences.
This year, the Southwest VAILL in Radford will include Level 1 sessions of the Virginia Adult Educator Certification Program (VAECP) for both ABE/GED instructors and Program Managers. The Northern Virginia VAILL at George Mason University will include Level 1 sessions for ESOL instructors. Program manager sessions will not be offered at the Northern Virginia VAILL.
These sessions will contribute to level 1 certification in the newly implemented, statewide certification program. Professionals from across Virginia will gather to network, share ideas, and get the most up-to-date information on working with adult learners and managing adult education programs.
For more information on the VAECP, visit http://www.valrc.org/trainings/certify.html.
Information about registering for these institutes will be delivered via the Virginia Adult Education and Literacy Network (VAELN) e-mail list. To sign up for VAELN, visit the Virginia Adult Learning Resource Center’s Web site at www.valrc.org.
