LinguaFolio, Jr. is a tool to help me organize information about language learning during my early years. I can use it to describe my language background, show others what I know and can do in other languages, and keep samples of my work. It has three parts:

Information for parents and teachers
The LinguaFolio, Jr. is a collection of information about early language learning that is designed for use by educators and younger students. It allows students to record and reflect on their language learning and cultural experiences. It is a tool that should accompany language learning at a young age and is suitable for documenting language abilities for various uses.
LinguaFolio, Jr. is designed to assist students with guidance from their instructors in assessing and describing individual language skills. It is useful in facilitating articulation from elementary school to the secondary level, or for appropriate placement of transfer students. The three sections of the portfolio are available to teachers and students for building individual portfolios in notebooks and/or as electronic files.
LinguaFolio, Jr. consists of three parts:
1) Language Passport
An overview of experiences and ability with different languages. It can be updated frequently and records formal qualifications, diplomas, and self-assessments.
2) Language Biography
A record of personal language learning history that helps students to evaluate learning goals, and reflect on language learning and cultural experiences.
3) Language Dossier
A collection of pieces of work and certificates chosen by the student to document and illustrate language skills, experiences and achievements. It can be used to demonstrate the individual’s language abilities to others.
